I had a friend whose Mother made a tea syrup. I asked for the recipe, but she refused to share. It's a great thing to make up when you have a large family. Just a bit of tea syrup in the bottom of a glass of ice, and fill with water. I got the bright idea to Google, and I wish I'd done it sooner.
Tea Syrup Concentrate
10 tea bags 3 cups water 3 cups granulated sugar
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a large pot and boil for 10 minutes.
Pour into a bottle and keep refrigerated.
Mix 5 parts of water to one part tea syrup concentrate or to your own taste.
